Hi All! Like you, we are anxious to know what our 2020 summer plan will be.  We are waiting for Governor Murphy's decision on camps and group gatherings for the summer . . . in the meantime we are working on an alternative plan ~ for safe horse related  fun here this summer.  We will keep you updated here and by newsletter.

Week 1: June 22-26

Adopt a Horse Week! 

(6 spots available)

Your child will team up with another camper and adopt a horse to care for together this week! They will feed, water & groom their equine buddy, and do daily chores such as: muck stall, scrub water bucket, do a health check, hand-graze, pick hooves, and MORE!

Week 2: June 29-July 3 

Pony Painting Razzle Dazzle!

Kids love to fingerpaint, stencil, and spray paint our ponies

and horses! Our ponies and horses are so patient and cute!

We will also paint ponies on canvas, apparel, and just about anything! Face-painting too!

Week 3: July 6-10

Horses Are My Life!

(6 spots available)

Learn about interesting jobs in the equine field. Large animal vet, blacksmith, horse chiropractor, horse trainer, riding instructor,  horse transport, horse racing, competitive rodeo, horse breeding & sales. We will host some experts to give demonstrations and the campers will try many hands-on activities.

 

Week 4: July 13-17

Be a Horse Whisperer!

Horses are great for increasing kids' confidence, empathy, leadership, and cooperation! Your children will do fun horse training activities on and off the horses. Use clicker training to teach a horse a trick & make gifts for a local horse rescue.

 

Week 5: July 20-24

Happy Hooves Kids Cook-off Contest!

Kids work in teams to choose from several provided ingredients then make a delicious edible creation. Some other cooking adventures may include: Donut pigs! Horseshoe gingerbread! Frosty pudding pops! Mare muffins! Popcorn chicken treats!

Week 6: July 27-31

Wild-Wild West Fashion Sparkles!

Making western attire is awesome! Bandana backpacks, fringed t-shirts, boot bangles and more for the campers. Plus lots of glitter and rhinestones! Fluorescent painted fly masks, feather clip-ons and stenciled leggings for horses.

 

Week 7: August 3-7

Barnyard Palooza!

(3 spots available)

Making silly costumes for our chickens, bunnies and horses will be awesome!! We will make farm animal and horse themed sculptures, mobiles, wooden plaques, too!  Children will love feeding and caring for all of our barnyard friends!

 

​*Includes a morning & afternoon riding lesson weather permitting

​**Payment in full is required to confirm your child's camp days or week

***Refunds or credits are available if your child is unable to attend due to a 'medical emergency' with Dr.'s note
